On August 11, 2016 the National Endowment for the Humanities announced the addition of four new partners to the National Digital Newspaper Program – New Jersey, Colorado, Maine and Alaska. Rutgers University Libraries, the State Library of New Jersey and the New Jersey State Archives will collaborate on selecting and digitizing which New Jersey newspapers will be part of this effort.
